LEIKELI47 - NO RELOAD

Brooklyn rapper Leikeli47 is a beast when it comes to supplying sassy and braggy rhymes over energetic beats. “Look” and “Money,” off her debut EP Wash & Set, were filled with one-liners not only about her cash but also the stylish clothing she spends it on. Now, with the heavy-hitting “No Reload,” from her second upcoming studio album Acrylic, she expands her scope with a reflective song that alludes to the wisdom she gained through her upbringing.

Over a gritty trap beat, Leikeli recalls the empowerment in her home growing up. “Grew up in a house full of women/They ain’t need no nigga,” she raps. “Never seen ’em borrow shit/They had they own figures.” Through two valiant verses, Leikeli makes it clear that saying “no” to the requests of others is never an issue, because she will ultimately get what she wants by any means necessary. In a coolly conversational voice, Leikeli proves that she “ain’t missin’ out on na’an” while asserting that she’s the best her ex never had. “No Reload” presents Leikeli’s listeners with a jam that not only inspires them to get up and dance, but also reflect on the means of their own hustle.
