Filmed against the dramatic backdrop of the Pismo Beach dunes in California on a cloudless September day in 2020, Cult Gaia’s cinematic lookbook offers a sense of adventure and liberation in its Spring 2021 collection. This video transports the viewer to a dramatic desert landscape that provides the perfect complement to founder Jasmin Larian Hekmat’s arresting designs. 

Hekmat sought to create styles that illustrate both the power and complexity of Gaia—the ancient Greek goddess of the earth, the ancestral mother of us all—by anchoring the collection to earth elements, natural colors, and the feeling of the season. Each style honors the female body with flattering silhouettes and flirtatious details that reflect Cult Gaia’s Californian sense of ease.

The prints in the Spring 2021 collection encapsulate the glow of the evening sun, the curves of the dunes, and the purity of the clear blue sky. It ties in design aspects and patterns of Cult Gaia's pivotal creations over the past ten years while also bringing women new, wearable pieces of art.
